MYLAPORE TIMES has launched a new contest for Mylapore families. This is for Sri Vinayaka Chaturthi festival.
You are invited to create a eco-umbrella for lord Vinayaka, using locally available materials like wood, palm leaves, cloth, strings and newspaper.
Here are some tips –
1. Use ONLY simple, waste materials at home – paper, cardboard, dry leaves, thread, wood 2. Do NOT use any materials, colours, decorations from outside/new stuff. No painting/colouring. 3. Entries will be judged for best use of waste/recyclable materials, creativity and neatness.
How to submit your entry –
< Shoot TWO PHOTOS from different angles of the umbrella you make. The date of shoot must appear on the photos.
< Mail the photos ( do not send attachments) to Mylapore Times, with one line explanation on materials used. Mention also your name, full address and phone nos. Mail to [email protected] (say – UMBRELLA – in subject line).
There are 10 prizes – 5 for best entries and 5 for next best.
