Polish, San Thome choirs to perform at Holy Mass at San Thome Cathedral. Aug.24

The San Thome Basilica will host a big group of  musicians from Poland and from Chennai at a special Holy Mass to be held on August 24 morning. This event is open to all.

The music at Mass is a  collaboration between “The Concerto Glacensis” from Poland and “The Revival Singers”
from San Thome.

Prashanth Gaspar, the interim conductor of The Revival Singers, will be leading the choir on Sunday. He is a prominent member of The Madras Musical Association and one of the key members of The Revival Singers.

The growth of The Revival Singers lies in the enthusiasm of Rev. Fr.  P. J. Lawrence Raj and the conviction of Michael Gaspar. The choir has been performing for more than two decades in four part harmonies, with Trinity-qualified members and singers.

Michael Gaspar still serves as the conductor, accompanied by renowned musician Shyam Benjamin.

That Sunday, the Polish musicians will be led by Kasia, a gifted conductor with a passion for choral music. Her expertise in Polish choral traditions and her commitment to fostering musical talent will be on show at this special Mass.

The Mass starts at 11:30 a.m. It promises to present ‘a beautiful blend of musical traditions, bringing together the rich heritage of Polish choral music with the vibrant talent of Chennai’s music talent.
