The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation will confer the annual Saraswathi Puraskaram on artiste Vishakha Hari on Saturday, September 20 at 10.30 a.m. at the Foundation’s campus at Eldams Road, Alwarpet.
This award is given for Vishakha Hari’s contribution to Harikatha and Carnatic music.
Dr. Soumya Swainathan, chairperson, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation & principal adviser, NTEP, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will be the chief guest and present the award.
Scholar and arts curator Sujatha Vijayaraghavan will preside over the function.
