Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home is hosting its annual Navaratri Utsav at the Vivekananda auditorium on its campus in Mylapore from Sept. 23 to Oct.2
The utsav will be inaugurated by Swami Satyajnananandaji Maharaj adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore on Sept. 23 at 7.30 a.m.
A discourse series on “Ramayana Mahatmyam” by Akkarakani U.Ve. Srinidhi Swamigal will be held through the utsav.
There are music concerts, a drama and devotional songs recital on all evenings. Artistes like Gayatri Venkataraghavan, Ranjani-Gayathri, Vijay Siva and Veeramani Raju are scheduled to perform.
The boys at the Home set up the kolu on stage in the hall, decorate it daily and share prasadam with visitors. They take out the deity of Gadadhar in a procession every morning and evening, inside CIT Colony, Mylapore.
