The zone diagonally opposite All India Radio on Kamaraj Salai was smelling badly all evening as sewage flowed out of the main drain in the middle of this busy road.
It was evident that the flow was going on for some hours since the sewage flooded the side of the road and shop-keepers had dumped stone slabs and wooden planks for people to access the shops.
