On Deepavali night, two spots to watch galaxy of firecrackers explode in colours

There were two scenic spots to watch the Deepavali celebrations after dusk in the Mylapore zone.

The first was on terraces of tall buildings on the Mada Streets. From this perch, you got to saw the fully illuminated gopurams and the temple spaces of Sri Kapali Temple. And as the skies grew dark, and the fireworks began,  the rockets and bursts of colour of many a cracker lit up the sjy above the temple gopuram.

The second spot was the Thiru Vi Ka Bridge across the Adyar.

From here, you could enjoy the colours and bursts of crackers on the MRC Nagar end of the R. A. Puram side and of the fireworks from the Gandhi Nagar, R. A. Puram and Kotturpuram sides.
