R. A. Puram community donates laptops to students

Raja Annamalaipuram Residents Association (RAPRA) has been providing assistance to school students of this neighbourhood’s Chennai Schools and government-aided schools for some years now.

Every year for the past ten years financial assistance worth Rs. 1.6 lakhs is given to 40 under privileged students to meet their educational expenses.

This year, on Vijayadasami day, 13 students were given free laptops loaded with essential software for their educational purposes. R. Gopalan, an octagenerian and c hairman of Fenice Energy Solution Private Limited distributed these laptops.

Every Sunday free coaching classes are conducted by RAPRA to school students in the commerce group; this has helped the teens to get admission into B Com courses in city colleges with ease.

These classes are conducted by qulalified chartered accountants. Also, spoken English classes are also conducted.
