A auto-rickshaw driver who was found lying on Marina Loop Road in San Thome died while being taken to hospital, succumbing to the severe injuries he had received on Thursday night.
Local area police who were tipped off about the incident which took place near the beachside fiund the auto driver badly wounded.
Police probing the case say they suspect two youths of Pattinapakkam. Police said that the dead driver who resided in Kilpauk was in a relationship with a Pattinapakkam woman and that her sons had objected to it and confronted the driver before.
UPDATE: Police have arrested on Saturday, two men of Pattinapakkam, accused of the murder of the auto-driver.
