Chennai Architecture Foundation (CAF) is presenting Open Office Week; a group of architects who manage firms in the city will open their doors to people who wish to know more about architecture and its practice and to ask questions on issues that affect you – like redesigning a 50-year old house or setting up a coffee bar.
CAF hosts say that the city’s architecture offices are open for walk-ins from November 24 to 29, 3pm – 7pm.
Said architect Anupama Dawson of CAF, ” We wish to encourage people to learn more about the spaces and environment around them. For students, these visits offer inspiration, practical learning, and a clearer sense of what the profession looks like in practice.”
The firms in the Mylapore/Alwarpet/RA Puram areas which will keep its doors open to guests are :

Said senior architect Biju Kuriakose of CAF, “By allowing people to step inside without an appointment, these offices hope to create an open and welcoming atmosphere. This openness helps people feel more connected to the places they live in and gives them a chance to engage with the architects in a relaxed, informal way.”
