On December 3, Ecokitchen, a unit of Y R Gaitonde Medical Education and Research Foundation based at Injambakkam, ECR arranged to provide food to residents in the kuppam areas along Marina Loop Road whose lives were affected by the steady rain and cyclonic weather this week.
Area councillor Amirda Varshini personally managed the food distribution.
Ravi Nandyala, a Mandaveli resident who heads the CSR operations of the Foundation said that the Ecokitchen Foundation provides food through it’s community kitchen through the year for the needy and the old aged and is run on donations from generous people.
“Locally in our area, we are able to support deserving people because the area councillor of ward 126, Amirda, takes an active interest and part in operations,” said Ravi.
