M. A. Seshadri, a resident of TTK Road, Alwarpet for the past 75 years, expired on December 1.
He was 97.
Seshadri worked in the Postal Audit Department.
His family said he enjoyed attending concerts of music, dance and drama at the sabha halls in Mylapore.
He was a philanthropist and donated money to various temples and orphanages.
He was the brother-in -law of late M. D. Parthasarathy, music director of Gemini Studios .
He was very active until he got admitted in the hospital when he fell ill, his family said.
He is survived by his sister-in-law M. A. Ranganayaki , his nieces and nephew, Prof. Dr. Vijaya Parthasarathy, Dr Ranganayaki, Prof Dr. Padmini, Dr. Rohini and Dr. Naresh.
