All arrangements are being made in the Chitrakulam, the temple tank of Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore for the teppam festival which will commence on January 18, Sunday
Workers have been engaged to clear the wild vegetation in and around the tank and remove waste that is floating in the waters. Painting of the tank’s walls and mantapams has commenced.
The colourful float with the deity inside it will be taken around in the tank seven times every evening, 6.3 0 p.m. onwards.
The float festival will end on January 22.
