It was a quiet, traditional start to the annual teppam festival of Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore. It commenced on January 18, Sunday evening and continued on Monday, day two of the teppam.
The colourful, illuminated float with the deity inside was taken around in the tank many times on both evenings, as many people took up a few vantage spots around the tank to watch.
The float festival will end on January 22.
