‘Nellaiappar Temple: Historical, Cultural and Architectural Glory’ is the theme of an illustrated talk by Dr. Pradeep Chakravarthy that will be presented on Friday, February 13 and hosted by INTACH Chennai Chapter. The talk starts at 6 p.m.
The temple, one of the largest in south India ( spread over 14 acres), is a major centre for Shaivism in south India. It is also a repository of Pandya time architecture, culture and history.
In this talk, Pradeep intends to focus on the temple’s art and epigraphic evidence which records this region’s heritage.
