Election buzz got heated up this March 25 evening when the AIADMK leader Edappadi Palaniswami and BJP’s Tamilisai Soundararajan jointly launched a campaign.
The NDA allies and their cadres were large in number, party flags dominating the streetscape.
Palaniswami is said to have visited Sri Kapali Temple where the annual Panguni fest is going on and then went through the local streets before addressing people off the Mandaveli market zone.
He and Tamilisai stood side by side in a van.
BJP is contesting in Mylapore and is yet to declare its candidate.
