A battery swapping facility for electric two-wheelers was launched recently at two prominent places in Mylapore – at the MRTS’ Mundakakanni Amman Koil station and Mandaveli station.
This facility enables instant battery swaps for riders to eliminate charging downtime. This is a boon mainly for food and other services delivery staff.
This facility is open 24×7.
Prices will depend on Ampere-hour a unit measuring a battery’s energy storage capacity.
Indofast Energy, which promotes this facility is a joint venture of Indian Oil and Sun Mobility and
provides ‘batteries-as- a – service’ called BAAS.
