Campaigns are on full throtle in Mylapore as candidates do their best in the final lap. Campaigning ended on Tuesday, April 21 and polling is on April 23.
On Tuesday, BJP leader K. Annamalai led the local campaign in favour of candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan, driving through the heart of Mylapore. Alongside them was ex MLA of the AIADMK, K. Nataraj.
On Tuesday morning, Annamalai and Tamilisai started off with a book release event hosted by Alliance at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan before launching the road show.
By noon, the BJP caravan slow-moved through Pattinapakkam, a hub of large and crucial voters.
BJP is now posting on social media Mylapore-themed snappy videos that take potshots at the DMK and raise common civic issues of Mylapore.
The TVK candidate Venkataramanan headed a two-wheelers’ rally that zipped through the streets in Mylapore, with pillion riders waving the party flag and others blowing on whistles, the symbol.

Naam Tamilar Kazhagam candidate R L Arun focussed on door to door, street to street campaign in his final lap. He was seen doing this in Mandavelipakkam.
Later, TVK cadres too out a bike rally and were seen in this area.
The DMK’s Dha Velu led a bike rally through the heart of Mylapore, zooming down the mada veedhis. He was atop an open auto.
