A state-of-the-art pickleball facility named Pickler’s Bungalow’ recently opened at the quiet Nagarathinam Colony, located off P. S. Siva Swami Salai. And it is now open for registrations.
The facility is the idea of two sports-minded partners, Vednath Kumar and Balaji Valluvan.
The duo had transformed the character of what is a Mylapore vintage property ( said to be 120 years old) into a well-designed, greenery-filled sports arena, just off busy streets.
Pickler’s Bungalow features three pickleball courts, catering to both beginners and seasoned players. They are set against the old bungalow, built by Vednath’s ancestors, four generations ago.
The facility includes a dedicated wash area, separate changing rooms for men and women, and ample parking space.
Operating hours are designed to suit all schedules, with the courts open from as early as 5 a.m. until midnight. Bookings are currently available through the Turf Town App, so people can reserve their slots in advance. Spot bookings are also offered.
Coaching programmes for all age groups are expected to begin soon, along with membership packages.
