The Kuppuswami Sastri Research Institute, located inside the Madras Sanskrit College is internationally well known for its contribution in the field of Sanskritic and Indological studies for more than 75 years.
The institute hosts a rich library with more than 65,000 rare books on indology, philosophy, and Sanskrit literature.
For a long time, there has been a need to expand the space to store these books. With funds received from Brakes India Pvt. Limited a new hall has been constructed now over the existing building.
The newly constructed second floor with lift facility will be formally opened on Wednesday, June 24 at 4 p.m. by
Viji Santhanam, executive chairman of Brakes India.
