Kartik Fine Arts sabha (KFA), on July 3 honoured the popular upanyasakar and Harikatha artiste Dushyanth Sridhar at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan hall in Mylapore .
The award is named after the sabha’s founder Kartik Rajagopal.
It carries a purse, a citation and a shawl.
Veteran scholar and Dushyanth’s preceptor Villur Nadadoor Bashya Simhasamam Karunankarachariyar swamy. presented the award at the function presided over by KFA’s president S. N. Srikanth.
The sabha’s secretaries R. Sekar and D. S. Rajagopalan.were present.
Previous awardees include K.Balachander, Dr. Nalli Kuppuswamy, Visu, Mouli, Mrs. YGP, K. N. Ramaswamy, T V Varadharajen and Bombay Gnanam.
