‘Braille On Wheels’ car rally makes a fun Sunday for participants

The 35th edition of Ford-supported ‘Braille On Wheels’ car rally saw about 100 cars taking part in it on August 30 morning; all of them were flagged off from Hotel Savera campus in Mylapore.

This unique rally encourages visually impaired people to take part in it as navigators – they use Braille route maps to guide the driver in a car which also has other team members in it.

The rally takes each team to various areas and landmarks in the city. It follows a Time, Speed and Distance format. Organised by National Association for the Blind – Tamil Nadu Chapter, in association with Madras Motor Sports Club and FMSCI, the rally is an annual event and Hotel Savera is a key supporter of it.
