A woman’s dead body was located in an unused section of the premises of Thirumayilai MRTS station on Tuesday by Railway Police. A foul smell of the decaying body led the police to the location of the body.
Police assume that the woman who had gone in search of a washroom, leaving her daughter behind, had slipped through a space on the floor and fallen to the floor below, which is a space that is hardly used in this campus.
The daughter had waited for a long time for her mother to return and then panicked and lodged a complaint with the Mylapore police. The police filed a ‘missing person’ case.
The dead woman is a resident of Pallikaranai
