Vidya Mandir school in association with Yuva Bharati and Sree Karpagavalli Vidyalaya will organise groceries distribution for a batch of residents of Mangollai area in Mylapore on the occasion of Deepavali.
This will take place on November 5 afternoon and is the second time that Vidya Mandir’s senior students are engaged in a community outreach programme at Deepavali time.
Students will be contributing for the outreach. The school will prepare 80 bags.
Yuva Bharati will transport the grocery items to Sree Karpagavalli Vidyalaya. Their members have chosen the beneficiaries.
The school management feels that such events allow students to appreciate the state of people who reside around them and respond in ways they can.
