The South Chennai Bharat Scouts and Guides organised the 54th Jota and 15th Joti in their District Head Quarters, P.S School, Mylapore.
The theme of the Jota Joti was Peace and Environment. It was held on October 15 and 16.
Nearly 300 Scouts and Guides from South Chennai District and 120 Scouts and Guides from neighbouring district participated.
This event is organised by C. D. Vivekanandhan District Commissioner (Scouts) for South Chennai and also Amateur Radio Operator and member of Madras Amateur Radio Society.
On Oct. 15 Amateur Radio Station was inaugurated by V. J. Purantharan HWB (C) and General Manager Nippo Battery and Mr.Aravind (VU2ABS). On Oct. 16 the honorary President Dr. Meena Muthiah visited the Jota and the Joti stations.
