COOKERY WORKSHOP FOR KIDS

Spoonbill restaurant on TTK Road, Alwarpet is holding its third cookery workshop with the theme on mangoes. Kids will assist the chef in preparing exotic mango-based recipes and get to sample the dishes. They will be entitled to a special lunch at the end of the workshop.

SLOW FOOD WORKSHOP

An open discussion program titled ‘Slow’ is to be held in Abhiramapuram on June 7. Dr. Raghavan, a physicist and cheese maker based in Canada, and a member of Slow Food International will speak on topics such as the global grassroots food movement, being a ‘locavore’, the importance of what’s in your food, food security, and mass produced food versus artisanal.
