It has been a year since the popular Parvathi Bavan Sweets moved to Eldams Road in Alwarpet, from its previous location opposite Udhi Eye Hospital, off TTK Road.
But it seems to need to draw more people to check out its snacks and sweets and hence, launched a anniversary offer last weekend, offering a discount on all that people bought here.
The boli is special here – thengai, paruppu and masala varieties.
Their samosas are not spicy – prepared so to cater to many seniors who drop in for a snack.
Parvathi has been known for its sweets; the date-fruit cake sells hot here. The thattai, masala peanuts, chips . . . fresh and crunchy.
For lunch, a mini meal is on offer and going forward, Chinese and North Indian food is to be added to the menu.
Air-conditioned and smartly designed, the space provides a quiet break for office-goers and families who reside in this Alwarpet area.
