Here is the update about the remaining utsavams in the local temples :
At Vedanta Desikar temple: Today, May 26 – Yaanai vahanam with Esal, 8 p.m. May 26 – grand ther (chariot) procession(starts at 7 a.m.). kudhirai (horse) vahanam on May 28(8 p.m.), followed by theerthavari on May 29 at 6.30 p.m. The Dwadasa Aradhanam is on May 30 at 2 p.m.
As a part of the vidayatri utsavams, thirmanjanams have been organised on May 31 (4 p.m.), June 1 (10 a.m.) and June 2 (10 a.m.).
At Velleswarar Temple -May 26 Boothavahanam 8 p.m., May 27 Naaga vahanam (8 p.m.), May 28 Venvidai (9 p.m.), pallakku on May 29 morning, yaanai vahanam on May 29 (9.30 p.m.). The grand chariot procession is on May 30 at 7 a.m., and ‘Sukra Bhagavan Kann Perudal’ on May 31 at 3.45pm. The utsavam finishes with the Thirukalyanam on June 2 at 8 p.m.
A lot of musican programmes have also been planned as a part of this utsavam. These include bhajans and carnatic music renditions by various groups. These programmes start on June 4 and go on till June 13, at 6.30 p.m.
