The last of the candidates of leading political parties filed his nomination papers to contest the Assembly poll in the Mylapore constituency this morning.
Karate Thyagarajan of the Indian National Congress filed the papers at the Mylapore Taluk Office on Greenways Road.
With this, candidates of Congress, TMC, PMK, AIADMK and BJP among a few independents have filed their papers to contest the poll.
Campaigning has been low-key till now and is expected to pump up from this weekend.
The elections are on May 16.
