Quilt contest open for entries; event part of India Quilt Fest in January 2019

Quilt India Foundation is hosting the India Quilt Festival in January 2019 in Chennai and many events are to be held in the Mylapore zone.
A curated exhibition is to be held at Sri Sankara Hall, TTK Road, Alwarpet from January 25 to 27, 2019.   This show will showcase quilts from across the country and the world.
The festival events include a quilt-making contest. Entries for this competition opened on September 1 and close on 31 Dec.31, 2018.  Prizes are for a total value of Rs.15 Lakhs.
The festival will showcase the competition quilts, special exhibits of antique and modern quilts from India and abroad, artisans showcase, lectures, workshops, textile tours and sales at stalls.
