Chennai Corporation has planned to lay footpath for morning walkers along the beachside on Loop Road at Marina. A corporation official attached to zone 9 of Chennai Corporation says, “A letter seeking permission for the same has been sent for CRZ (coastal regulation zone) clearance.”
The civic body has also planned to construct a market for the fish hawkers along Loop Road. However, the fish sellers say they are unwilling to shift. Says the Corporation official, “Discussions are on to solve this issue at the earliest.”
