A new filter coffee joint has opened at Kutchery Road, near the Mylapore Head Post office. It is a franchise of Grind Coffee House that is located at C.P.Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet.
Two friends and Alwarpet residents – Jyothi and Aravind are the owners of the joint.
Says Jyothi, “We use full cream milk and coffee powder procured from our own coffee estates at Coorg in Karnataka to make the coffee.
Snacks including veg puffs, paneer tikka puff have already become popular here. They are prepared fresh at our house in Krishnaswamy Street, Alwarpet and then transported at the shop, Jyothi says.
Salt cookies, kara thattai, samosa, Osmania peanut cookies, and cold coffee varieties are also sold here.
Coffee is priced at Rs.18.The shop will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Writes Bhaskar Sheshadri, a Mylaporean in his Facebook post, ” As it is open from 6 onwards morning walkers can enjoy a sip of coffee after their stroll.”
