Teachers and trainees of V-Excel Trust make masks. Donate your old bedsheets and clothes to this cause.

V-Excel Educational Trust’s vocational unit is making masks with the help of trainees and teachers.

Charumathi Sriram, the PR head of the trust which runs a special school at Mandaveli, says “These masks are reusable and strictly adhere to the specifications received from the Ministry of Health and Family welfare. We wash the masks thoroughly and dry it under the sun before they are sold for Rs. 35 a piece. The masks also come with a pocket to insert a filter for additional protection”.

She says all those who want to help towards this cause can do so by donating their old bedsheets and clothes. The clothes must be washed, rinsed in Dettol, sun dried and ironed on high heat before it is dropped off. The fabric should be 100% cotton with a GSM (grams per square meter) of 65 and above. Thick weave and bed covers with a thread count of 120 will also work.

The clothes can be dropped off 10/23, Sharada, Thiruvengadam Street, R. A. Puram. The masks can also be picked up from there. For orders contact Charumathi at 9840571731.
