The jayanthi celebrations of saint – composer Thiagaraja conducted by Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam, Mylapore began on March 22 evening.
Some senior Carnatic music artistes were decorated with the Sangeeta Seva Ratna titles.
This photo features awardees Vellore G. Ramabhadran, R. Vedavalli, T. H. Vinayakram and V. V. Subramanyam.
T. K. Govinda Rao, also an awardee could not make it to this event.
The Samajam is located near Sri Madhava Perumal temple, Mylapore and most of its events centre on saint Thiagaraja.
