Work has stated on making a new ‘ther’ for Sri Madhava Perumal Temple in Mylapore. Traditional artisans from Kallakuruchi in Villupuram district have started to work on it.
Temple officers say that the budget is Rs.12 lakhs. The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department will provide Rs. 5 lakhs. The rest will have to be raised through donations made by devotees and donors,
