The first interschool Youth Parliament of Chettinad Vidyashram was organised on November 19 at the school premises.
Several schools participated in mock sessions. Meena Muthiah was the chief guest.
The parliament began with the oath taking for the newly elected members.
Students discussed important issues like terrorism, mining in the buffer zone of Sariska Tiger Reserve, restrictions on the Right to Information Act and measures for strengthening sports and games after the Common Wealth Games.
This event was organised by the Social Science Department of the school.
