In order to protect stray dogs, cats, birds and other small animals from dying due to de-hydration this summer, Blue Cross has started an initiative to provide water for these creatures.
Blue Cross has suggested water bowls to be placed in verandas, balconies and terraces for birds and squirrels and on streets for animals.
Sridharan, a resident of Alwarpet is a volunter for his purpose. He will be able to provide water bowls for the street.
“These bowls are made of cement and I can deliver it to the person who requests”, he says.
The resident /s of that particular house or apartment has to pour in clear water everyday, he added.
