M. H. Gopalakrishnan aged 95 passed away on Dec.25. He was a resident of Abhiramapuram for the last 27 years.
He was a qualified Cost and Works Accountant. He started his carrier in Central Railways. He then worked at Bhilai Steel Plant as Budget officer and later was the Deputy Controller of Finance and Accounts at Surgical Instrument Plant of IDPL, Chennai
After retirement he was a faculty at the Institute of Costs and Words Accounts of India, Chennai.
Gopalakrishnan also gave free tuitions to those who approached him, says a family member.
He was a student of Upanisad classes of Brahmasree Goda Venketswara Sastrigal for the last 20 years.
He is survived by his son Hariharan, daughters Girija Ramanathan and Rema Krishnan.
