Bharatanatyam guru Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy, a Mylaporean has been chosen by The Music Academy to be decorated with its Natya Kala Acharya award.
The award will presented on the opening evening of the Academy’s annual dance fest on January 3, 2013.
She has performed all over India and internationally, groomed many sishyas, ideated dance productions, published books and CDs and managed her academy, Shree Bharatalaya located on Luz Church Road.
She has been awarded the Padma Shri and the Sangeet Natak Akademi award among many others.
