P. V. Balakrishnan, aged 82 passed away on July 2. He was a resident of Adam Street, Mylapore from 1949.
He was fondly known as ‘Ananda Vikatan Balu anna’ because he worked for this Tamil magazine.
He was born at Kizhanilai Puthupatti a village located near Karaikudi. He finished his education at Arimalam, Kandanur.
He joined ‘Ananda Vikatan’ in 1949. He retired from the accounts department and later joined Veta.
Balakrishnan is survived by his brother V. Chidambaram and sisters Sivagami Sundari and N. Visalam.
