Each civic ward to have ‘Amma Unavagam’

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had launched one of her new schemes – restaurants for the economically weak – sometime ago by opening one in San Thome, near the Registration Office.

Now, the state has decided that such restaurants will be opened in each Ward in the Chennai Corporation limits. And one such is ready for business on Kamaraj Salai, R. A. Puram.

These places are called Amma Unavagam and serve idlis for breakfast and a few varieties of rice – sambar rice and curd rice for lunch. People have asked that either papad or pickles be also served with the rice items.

This saying will suit only for the food we eat,the
Quality, the taste more than all the filling quantity.

  3. Best scheme launched during Amma’s period.
A coffee or tea in similar scheme will be of much help. Coffee or tea has become a dream even for the a middle man who visits restaurants. So many people returning without taking coffee or tea.
