NEW YEAR CHECK LIST: Parties, food, music and prayers

To ring in 2014, many events are taking place in the Mylapore area. Besides dance and dinner packages at restaurants and hotels, programmes connecting one within are also on the anvil. In random order:

For those who want to put on their dancing shoes and eat, drink and rock a bit, here is a short checklist of restaurants and hotels offering different deals.

BREATHE, PRAY AND SING FROM THE HEART! (Free events on December 31 and January 1, open to all)

Carnatic music with vocal and instrumental concerts organised by Carnatica. 50 young musicians and senior artistes will perform. Quiz and snacks are part of the programme. At Music Academy from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on December 31.
