Nizhal – Friends of Trees, is a non-profit conservation organization promoting tree culture in urban areas, planting and caring for trees through collaborative efforts. Its latest effort to include local communities and citizens is towards a tree mapping initiative. The focus will be on improving the health of mature trees in localities, reporting against cementing around tree trunks, metal guards or cables, and increasing green cover where possible.
