The Navarasa Academy of Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida is organising a remembrance day for mridangam vidwan, C. S. Murugaboopathi on June 5 at 6 p.m. The C. S. Murugaboopathi award will be conferred on Thiruvarur Bakthavatsalam by T. R. Srinivasan. The guests of honour are Dr. N. Ramani, S. Narayanasami and Vikku Vinayakram.
A vocal concert will be presented by P. Unnikrishnan after the award function. He will be accompanied by Vittal Ramamurthi on the violin, M. R. Venupuri Srinivas on the mridangam, E. M.
