Work is going on at the Adyar Estuary on the Foreshore Estate side as part of the eco-restoration project. The first part was completed with the Adyar Poonga section on the western side of the main road.
After JCB machines rid the banks of the backwater area of waste and scrubs, the muck inside is being removed. Meanwhile, swathes of green shades have been put up all along the boundary of the backwater space to set off the area of work. This can be seen as one travels on Dr. D G S Dhinakaran Road in R A Puram.
