Residents of the Raja Street and Velayuadha Streets zone in Mandaveli last week reported seeing either dead crows or crows lying on the ground, gasping.
They wondered if the bird flu kind of incidence was back again. This had happened in the area some months ago when people noticed crows falling to the street from tree tops.
Vinod from Robertson Lane mentioned about a crow that was found on the edge of this lane was but unable to move.
Ganga Sridhar from Raja Street Extension said, “We observed multiple fallen crows in our area.
Also we found some dead strays dogs and cats.”
The residents have alerted Chennai Corporation officials.
