Kirtilals, the jewellery and diamonds store on C P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet held a special pooja on Tuesday after the doors were open for Akshaya Tritiya. Customers could keep their newly bought jewels at the puja table, prayers were said and then the jewels were handed over.
The store provides a set of offers introduced last week.
There is a discount of Rs. 9500 per carat on diamonds which is applicable until the 27th of April, while there is a special discount of Rs.400 per gram of gold that was applicable only on Tuesday. The exterior of this big store were decorated with flower strings.
N P S Kanakaraj, senior store manager, said that the store had extended working hours, from 6:30am to 10:30pm on Tuesday to service the extra rush of clients.
