The Bahai community in Chennai have been presenting awards for outstanding work in various fields for more than a decade. Individuals in various fields like art, literature, education, social work and arts are nominated for these awards known as the Rose of Ridvan Community Service Awards.
This year the award was given to R. A. Puram resident and music therapist for people with autism – Lakshmi Mohan. Lakshmi has been teaching music to special children for more than a decade now.
