Did you know that Ramakrishna Math maintains a charitable book bank at its Mylapore premises? Started in 1991, the book bank has about 7500 books and caters to the needs of more than 450 economically challenged engineering and computer science students.
Students can borrow textbooks from the book bank and can retain the books till their exams. All they need to do is pay a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 300 and a membership registration fee of Rs. 30. The book bank is open from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m. on all days except Wednesday. For details contact bookbank@chennaimath.org. Ph: 24621110.
