A group of teenage girls and boys, seated on jamakalam on a terrace at an apartment on Karpagam Avenue’s 3rd Street launched into a Carnatic music concert on Sunday evening even as the moon made its appearance in the eastern skies on the eve if Buddha Purnima.
The nila kutcheri series is promoted by the Sri Sumukhi Rajasekaran Memorial Foundation run by the Mylapore Trio – Aparna, Amarnath and Surendranath.
All the singers and participants were in traditional attire, in keeping with the trio’s suggestion and at the end of the hour-long kutcheri dinner was served.
