Chennai Corporation yesterday ( Tuesday) undertook to remove all the stalls alongside the Sri Anjaneya Temple on Royapettah High Road, near Luz Circle. A JCB was used to remove these stalls along the walls of the temple and on the pavement; the waste was dumped into lorries and taken away.
This clean up will help ease traffic flow on this busy road.
However, cars which line up here to pick up students at Vidya Mandir after school closes for the day, eat up 50% of this road now ‘one way’ and contribute to traffic jams in this region.
